1. Who Is Responsible

The website is operated by Esther Kathini, a software developer based in Kenya, who is responsible for the personal information collected through it.

2. Information Collected

Information is only collected when you choose to provide it, or as needed to run the website:

• Contact form: your name, email address, phone number, subject, enquiry type and message.
• Rate & Review form: your rating, name, email address, company, role, how we worked together, your review, and optionally your LinkedIn profile.
• Newsletter: your email address (and name, if given).
• Basic visit statistics: the page visited, the site or campaign that referred you, and your device and browser type. Visitors are counted using an anonymous code; raw IP addresses are not stored for this.
• Form security: the IP address of a form submission, used only to prevent spam and abuse.

3. How the Information Is Used

• To reply to your enquiries and discuss potential projects.
• To review, publish (only with your permission) and thank you for testimonials. Your email address is never shown publicly.
• To send newsletter emails you signed up for. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
• To understand which pages are useful and improve the website.
• To keep the website secure and prevent spam.

Your information is never sold or rented to anyone.

4. Cookies and Browser Storage

The website uses only essential cookies needed for it to work securely (for example, a session cookie and a security token on forms). Your light/dark theme choice is saved in your own browser.

If Google Analytics is enabled on the website, it may set its own cookies to measure visits in aggregate.

5. Service Providers

Some trusted services are used to run the website, and they may process information on its behalf:

• Web hosting provider: stores the website and its database.
• Google (Gmail): delivers emails such as enquiry replies and newsletter messages.
• Cloudinary: stores images and documents displayed on the website.
• Google Analytics, where enabled: aggregate visit statistics.

These providers may store data outside Kenya. They are chosen for their security practices and handle data under their own privacy terms.

6. How Long Information Is Kept

Messages and reviews are kept for as long as needed to respond, keep a record of professional communication, or display a published review. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. You can ask for your information to be deleted at any time.

Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019 you have the right to:

• be informed about how your personal data is used;
• access the personal data held about you;
• ask for inaccurate data to be corrected;
• ask for your data to be deleted;
• object to processing or withdraw your consent, for example by unsubscribing or asking for a review to be removed.

8. Security

Reasonable measures are used to protect your information, including encrypted HTTPS connections, restricted dashboard access with two-factor authentication, and spam protection on forms. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

The website is intended for adults and professionals. It is not directed at children, and personal information is not knowingly collected from children.
